Sometimes we all need a reminder on the Colorado Real Estate Commission's Continuing Education Requirements! For your convenience, we've included a quick and simple breakdown of the requirements below:

24 Credit Hours

Annual Commission Updates Courses: 12 Credit Hours
12 of the required credits need to be Annual Commission Update Courses. You'll need to take ONE 4-hour Annual Commission Update Course per year for THREE years, totaling 12 credit hours.
Additional CE Elective Courses: 12 Credit Hours
The remaining 12 credit hours can be completed ANYTIME within your three year renewal cycle. Simply pick ANY CE credit course... Just be sure to have them completed before your license expiration date.
** KEEP YOUR CE CERTIFICATES ON FILE **
Now that we've got the requirements out of the way... DON'T FORGET TO SAVE YOUR CE COMPLETION CERTIFICATES in the event you are audited by the Colorado Real Estate Commission! Save the paper copies... Scan / Email them to yourself... Back them up on an external hard drive... Just be sure that you can provide them to DORA if you're audited! There is no "master database" of any kind where ALL your certificates are stored (wouldn't that be nice?). Instead, each licensee is responsible for managing their certificates.
