Barbara Galaviz Duarte

My name is Barbara Galaviz, I am married with two adult children and one amazing granddaughter! I am a Colorado native, I was raised in Denver but have since moved to Thornton to enjoy the suburban life. I worked for the City & County of Denver for 17yrs until I took an early retirement in 2019 to take care of my father full time. I was the Adoption/Transfer Coordinator for Denver Animal Shelter for the first 12yrs with the City and I still have a passion for animal rights and welfare. We have (4) dogs and a cat and hope to eventually purchase land to have room for more. My last five years with the City I was a Code Enforcement Officer for the Zoning Department. My husband and I have owned our own construction business since 2012, we do everything from exterior restoration to interior remodels and basement finishes. We also flip properties when we are not busy with client projects. I have had my real estate license for a little over 2yrs now but I am looking forward to many more years of helping people realize their dreams of home ownership. I am bi-lingual in English/Spanish and am passionate about helping the Spanish speaking community obtain home ownership.
